The decision to opt for a gluten-free diet can be made for a number of reasons.
Maybe you’ve recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease, which means you need to search out gluten-free foods.
Or you might have a gluten intolerance, and find that avoiding gluten improves the quality of your life and helps you to avoid headaches, fatigue, indigestion, or bloating.
One thing is for sure.
Following a gluten free diet doesn’t have to be dull
You can still enjoy a number of delicious foods. When you’re shopping look out for the crossed grain symbol which shows that a product has been certified gluten-free. Foods containing wheat, rye, barley (and for some people oats) should be avoided.
You’ll find plenty of gluten-free recipes to help you on your way.
But what about cakes?
We’ve adapted many of our recipes to create gluten-free cakes by using almond flour, potato flour and rice flour in many cases.
And some items, like our macarons, are naturally gluten free because they don’t contain flour at all. Our cakes come in over 50 different flavours and many are available in gluten-free versions.
One way of testing the flavours for yourself is by ordering our sample cake box for just £6, which gives you the option to taste four different gluten-free flavours yourself. We’ll send it to you by post for a small delivery charge or you can pick it up from our shop in Pinner.
So what would you choose?
If you’ve recently been diagnosed with a gluten intolerance, you’ll find that there are plenty of options out there for having a good diet and delicious treats.
We’d be happy to create a celebration cake in a flavour of your choice that suits your diet, or you could order our gluten-free macarons by post!
